المَعْرِفَةًُ Definite (noun) النَّكِرَةُ Indefinite (noun)

المُذَكَّرُ Masculine المُؤَنَّثُ Feminine

المُفْرَدُ Singular (one) المُثَنَّى Dual (two) الجَمْعُ Plural (three or more)

So a word in the Arabic language will either be definite or indefinite, masculine or feminine, singular, dual or plural.
